Project Description:
The project involves converting High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lanes, also known as "carpool" lanes, to High Occupancy Toll (HOT) lanes, also known as "express" lanes, along the I-680 corridor in the area of the Sunol Grade. The conversion requires additional roadway width and installing tolling equipment throughout the corridor. The current activities are related to the southbound (SB) HOV/HOT lane.
